To the Honourable Mr. Syahaie Ja’ang, Mayor of Samarinda city.

Please allow us to introduce ourselves.
My name is Andi M. Ikhsan, and my friend is Muhammad Kholiq. We are from SMAN 10 Samarinda. We were born in Samarinda. We are originally from Samarinda.

                The reason why we are writing this message to you, is because we would like to address our complaint over the Mahkota Bridge on K. Soejono street. As we all know, the function of a bridge is to connect two different places to support the movement of the goods and the services among the community. But Mahkota Bridge is still not completed yet, meanwhile it has been 13 years being neglected. We are very confused with the target of the city government. Is the problem connected to the budget, or the absence of workers and materials or perhaps the problem lies in the commitment of the city government of Samarinda. The completion of the Kukar Bridge, East Borneo, a comparison failure construction of the Mahkota II bridge, Samarinda. People consider that, Samarinda East Borneo provincial government and municipal government is not serious in building bridges and just wasting huge amounts of money.  

 Based on facts derived from the field, bridge completion contract extension of Mahkota II is only until April 2016. The target for both sides of the bridge which is 1,388 meters long has to be connected in the beginning of January, but it is still delayed until the beginning of March 2016. Even if it had been connected, it is still needs time to test the bridge before it will be opened to public. It would be better if the construction of the bridge in accordance with the Principles of Technical Planning Bridges,such as Planners should be experienced and competent in the field of bridge planning, evidenced by the skills certification issued by an organization or institution authorized and accredited ,and Planning should pay attention to land use planning at the location of the planned bridge, along with the track underneath obstacles, in order to obtain a result of geometric design, form and method of implementation to be optimal construction.

We hope With the construction of this bridge can improve income distribution in Kapih River region, sambutan districts with Simpang Pasir village, Palaran in the city of Samarinda. Along with this open letter, we do hope that you will always be given the health and able to carry out the activities professionally and wisely, and we would also like to apologize if there are inconvenient words in this letter because we are not purely intended to do so. Through this letter, we would like to say our gratitude for your contributions for Samarinda city and we are looking forward for your brilliant ideas in building our city, Samarinda.
